Directions

Woodview Cottages, Newfields Farm, are situated off the A46 between the A606 and A52 intersections approximately 8 miles from Nottingham. Please note that using the Google Maps service with our postcode will not give you the correct location. Woodview cottages is not located on the A46 and is not in Owthorpe village, it is some distance away. Please refer to the instructions below and view the map which is correct.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE M1 SOUTH

Approaching us from the south on the M1, we are very easy to find. Leave the M1 at junction 21a which takes you on to the Leicester Western Bypass.This road links directly to the A46, signposted Newark. After 7 miles, turn left, heading north at the end of the bypass and follow the Fosse Way dual carriageway (A46) north towards Newark. After approximately 10 miles it changes to the single carriageway, this is at the intersection with the A606 as you pass under a bridge over the road. Continue on the single carriageway for 2 miles and turn right signposted to Owthorpe; follow the road for half a mile and then to the bottom of the hill and turn immediately right into the driveway signposted Newfields Farm.

DIRECTIONS FROM NOTTINGHAM

From Nottingham city follow the signs for the A606 Melton Mowbray and Leicester. Keep following the A606 through the villages of Tollerton and Stanton-on-the-wolds until you reach the intersection with the A46 (the Widmerpool roundabout). Take the first left; this is a slip road down on to the A46 towards Newark. Continue on the single carriageway for 2 miles and turn right signposted to Owthorpe; follow the road for half a mile and then to the bottom of the hill and turn immediately right into the driveway signposted Newfields Farm.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH

Follow the A1 and then A46 south from Newark; we are located 5 miles south of the A52 junction (Saxondale roundabout ) at Bingham. Turn left signposted to Owthorpe, follow the road for half a mile and then to the bottom of the hill and turn immediately right into the driveway signposted Newfields Farm.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE M1 JUNCTION 24

Follow signs for A453 and stay on this until you see signs for A606 towards Melton Mowbray and Leicester.
